A Behind The Scenes Look - The Making of The Author's Pen Blog.

Introduction:

Greetings. I hope everyone enjoyed and had a safe July 4th. weekend. As promised, although a bit late, here is my July video blog post on the behind-the-scenes look at the making of The Author's Pen Blog. This is a quick overview of how my blog promos are created. As stated, over 90% of my topics are requested from my readers or subscribers. By the way, while you are here, subscribe to my blog and whatever video channel you use to view my video blog posts. The only information requested is your email address. I do NOT sell or share this information with anyone, nor do I send out promotional emails. You will only get an email to the link when a blog post is posted.

Making my promos is only one aspect of what happens at our studio. I also create my own book trailers and book trailers for other writers and authors. I create introduction videos for public speakers and add background music for audiobooks. Some of these other items require much more time.

Over the years, I have acquired thousands of images and music of all genres to support these efforts. All of which are copywrite-free. I also subscribe to many sources where I am licensed to use their photos and music for commercial services.

This month's video post is a bit longer than usual to cover what is required to give you an idea of what it takes to create a blog promo. All of this came from a need to keep my costs down when advertising my own projects and books. It was a learning process but a fun one. God knows I made my fill of mistakes along the way. But isn't that how we learn and get better?

Now with more technology on the horizon, I am starting to learn that as well, and as time goes by, I will incorporate that knowledge into my projects. The book business is far different today than it was decades ago. The price of a book has drastically decreased, and with digital formats available, those are even cheaper. Therefore, to stay competitive in any business, one must learn to do many things you might pay others to do yourself. Thank you for viewing this presentation.
